Gründungsmitglied der Musikcomedy Gruppe Tango Five, die über 26 Jahre erfolgreich auf nationalen und internationalen Bühnen spielte. Mit seinem „Tales in Tones Trio“ gewann er unter anderem den renommierten Hennessy Jazz Search 1999, er erhielt Stipendien des DAAD und der Kunststiftung Baden- Württemberg sowie im Jahr 2003 den Jazzpreis des Landes Baden-Württemberg.
